      Lighting:

The shots of the male character will always be shown in high key natural lighting. This is because we want him to be seen as a good citizen, the protagonist. Just a usual man getting on with his work on a day off. The high key lighting will connote that he is the good guy. However, when the female is in the shots the lighting will be very low key. This is because we want her to be preserved as the villain in the film opening. This will make her look dangerous. The low-key lighting will connote that she is evil and is about to do something unethical and illegal as well as that she is the bad guy, antagonist of the narrative. The low key lighting will add in her not being fully seen. This is good as it adds to the mysterious of what’s happening in the start as at the start the audience will be wondering what she is doing and they don’t know that the hacker is a female which we are trying to do.

Location:
We are thinking about having to locations for the film opening. The justification for this is so that we do not confuse the audience too much and another reason is that we have two characters who are not in the same location. By having two locations, one for each character it makes a divide which we want. It also makes them we preserved as opposites, which we want. This will aid with the other opposites we have added e.g. good and band, low key and high key lighting, male and female. The research I have conducted to make sure that we are not reinventing the wheel is from viewing a film which is similar to ours, identity thief. In the sequence were the man accidentally gives his bank details to a random women it cuts to two different locations. The one he is at, his work place and the one in which the woman is calling him from, a shopping mall. The place in which our characters are is the following. The male character is seen at his home, in his kitchen. He is at home because we wanted him to been seen as safe in his own home so when he gets hacked it has more of an impact on him. The female is in a dark room, which is unidentifiable. This is because we want her to look like the bad guy and as we don’t show that the hacker is a girl to later on in the film opening the dark unknown room adds to the mysterious vibe which is presented in our film opening.
