The reason why I have chosen the
song, "Sc-fi", is because I believe it makes great suspense. It also brings out a
mysterious vibe. This vibe is what we are trying to already show in our film
opening. This will advance it and make it clear what we are trying to show. As
it is electronic it links to the theme and what is happening in the scene. In
the film opening the main character Hugh is getting hacked by Zoe. The suspense
made in this music could help us make the audience curious and worried about
what may happen soon. The downside to this music is that it is Sc-fi and sounds
as if something supernatural may happen like you might see alien. We do not
want this to happen as it might mislead the audience.

Another option is a song called “House”
it’s a very up beat song and is electrical. The reason why we are looking more
towards the electrical side is because it fits in with the theme of hacking. This
song has a nice beat which builds up tension, however it loses the beat too
soon and then turns into a chill song which will ruin the mood we are trying to
create. This doesn’t contain a mysterious vibe which we wanted to create. This is
a problem as it could undermine what we are trying to present.
This one is different from the
other songs as it is a rock song. It has a good up beat rhyme its called "Actionable". It creates a dangerous
vibe which connotes that someone is doing something either dangerous or illegal.
This fits perfectly with our film opening as it. However, the music sounds to
positive for the start of the film opening and doesn’t sound mysterious at all
and that will mislead what we are trying to show.
