Initial Ideas On Costumes
Our film opening consists of two
characters the male protagonist and a female antagonist. We wanted the male
character to look wealthy so when he gets hacked it’s more of an impact on him. The male character is a business man as well
as this we wanted him to be portrayed as powerful and important like most males
in films. To represent this we came up with the idea of the male character
wearing a black suit. This isn’t reinventing the wheel as we are mainstream not
independent. I have done research into mainstream films and I have found that many
powerful/rich men wear suits. Examples of this are: James Bond films, the TV
show Suits and Identity thief. The suit will be black, this is to as it looks
more professional.
The female character will wear
loose, comfortable clothes. This is to directly connect with our target audience
as this is common clothes women wear when they are at home. Films that have
inspired us for this idea was the Bridget Jones franchise as they did this as
well to directly connect to their targeted audience.
This activity will help the group out by making sure that all of the clothing we are thinking about using have been used for a reason.
